Lumière du Temps (Debut CD Launch)
1901 Arts Club, SE1 8UE , [Venue Details]An evening of Salon Music to celebrate the launch of Lucilla Rose Mariotti’s debut CD Lumière du Temps on Orchid Classics.
Lumière du Temps is conceived as a musical journey through the Belle Époque, inspired by Giovanni Boldini’s luminous brushstrokes. His portraits of society women from that era shaped the spirit of the project, translating their elegance, movement, and light into sound.
Performed on a 1709 Stradivari violin, the album unfolds like a single day in Paris from the bright morning of Elgar’s Chanson de Matin, through D’Ambrosio’s intimate miniatures, to the twilight reflections and Impressionistic colours of Debussy and Lili Boulanger. Each work becomes a portrait in music, capturing the grace, radiance, and shifting moods of another age.
Signed copies of the album will be available for purchase on the night.
